Climbing
There is some excellent climbing on the edges which flank Kinder Scout, such as Nether Tor, The Pagoda and Ashop Edge. However most of these edges are high, so climbing them only seems feasible in spells of good weather.
Fortunately Edale is surrounded by a whole range of other gritstone Eedges, all within easy reach and mostly at a lower altitude than those on Kinder. The limestone climbing of the White Peak is not far away either.
